Featured Venue: Kohl Mansion

Kohl Mansion in Burlingame, California, is one of my personal favorite venues - I'm a bit biased because I got married there! Regardless, their quickly-filled calendar is evidence that I'm not the only bride or vendor who loves this place.

With ample parking, lawn, grand ballroom, patio and picture-perfect settings, Kohl has all of the "venue basics" to look for. But beyond that, its historic mansion qualities coupled with its high level of upkeep puts it above many mansion-like options. Too many times I've been to what must have been a gorgeous venue years ago, but the mansion looks worn and tired, and the idyllic experience that would have been provided to guests is marred by dying grass or chipping paint. You won't find that at Kohl.

The grand ballroom, with wood paneling and high vaulted ceilings, provides a dramatic backdrop to your event without having to dress it up with lighting, draping or fancy linens and rentals. That being said, it certainly looks stunning dressed up too! The tone and style of your event will be set just by picking this location - it speaks for itself.

Or taking pictures in the rose garden. How about cocktail hour here?
